Whatever plates you get, make sure they are NIJ Certified. That means the NIJ themselves have actually tested the plates. Lots of manufacturers out there don’t actually get NIJ to test them, and do their own testing (if any). They’ll say like NIJ tested or tested to NIJ standards. Those are a no go.
Also, don’t get steel plates.

I like the idea of a kid tracker, but I also don’t think it’s super necessary. Especially when this happens. To me, it implies that T-Mobile isn’t using end to end encryption between the tracker and parents phone. Maybe from tracker to T-Mobile to parents.
Side note: Any decent kid tracker thingies that respect privacy?
