Unless something changed, I’m fairly certain you can’t unlock the bootloaders of Verizon devices

Sigh I miss my BlackBerry
I don’t often comment my opinions but I’m curious to hear the arguments for my rationale:
Call it what you want; ignorance, childish, stupid, etc. I don’t pay attention to the news (haven’t for many years now) and I firmly believe it’s okay that I don’t.
So much of what’s presented by the media doesn’t impact my day-to-day life in the slightest. Ex. War in a foreign country is kicking off…what can I do about that? Gas prices go up…am I going to stop getting gas?
When hanging out with friends and family, the larger topics tend to be brought up and that’s how I learn what is going on currently (especially when this happens with different groups of people) without trying.
I also don’t vote because, at this point, I’d consider myself the definition of an uninformed voter.
Didn’t forget the ability to uninstall pre-installed apps without compromising security and locking you out of updates (you need to modify the system image which affects SIP and also doesn’t allow you to use FileVault disk encryption once disabled)…
Custom build of (rooted post-buildtime) GrapheneOS.
I understand all the reasons not to root GrapheneOS but I enjoy the control and options over my device that I’d otherwise not have if it wasn’t for rooting
I miss BB10 (maybe the physical device more than the OS lol) dearly! That’s pretty neat to know both interfaces were derived from the same source, I knew I noticed a lot of similarities!
A version of QNX (made by Blackberry) is in my Volkswagen. It’s quick, noninvasive, and still works well despite my removal of the 4G comm box that connected it to the Internet. I’d truly miss QNX if it disappeared.
Lol they won’t let me change my email address.
The email account has been closed for 6 months now and the bank account/debit card they want me to verify my payment with has been closed for years
I just started cleaning things up when I saw this. Probably going to try and make a build without microg and using sandboxed play services now: https://grapheneos.org/releases#2023123000
I’m like 40% sure it’s for Google Lens
Ha sounds good I’ll clean up the scripts as much as I can this weekend and make the repo public. I’ll update this post when it’s done.
Edit: maybe next week, forgot it’s Christmas!
Personally I’ve been writing/using my own docker container to help and (eventually) just build it for me, but I’m not finished and it’s the first project of it’s kind I’ve worked on.
I’d make the repository public (it’s on GitHub) I just didn’t think anybody wanted or cared
My own build of GrapheneOS with MicroG that allows Android Auto.
I’m not fully degoogled (I still use Maps and Tasks), but I’m closer…
Can confirm same happens on Pixel 8. Not enabling Zygisk is the only option I’ve found that works. I unfortunately Factory Reset before figuring out Zygisk was the culprit but I imagine a Safe Mode boot/restoring your original boot images would be enough to save you from a Factory Reset…
Well it’s either that or you design something like a “Jump To Conclusions” mat
Just wanted to say in case others see this, you can buy a .xyz domain from reputable places (maybe for a higher cost). I believe the OP is talking about the specific site ‘gen.xyz’.
I have an xyz domain with Cloudflare, host many things on it (like Jellyfin), and haven’t had any issues yet.
Edit: as many have pointed out, my understanding of registrars was wrong and gen.xyz actually owns all xyz tlds. Sleep in fear if you own one I suppose
