  • Sure, but that doesn’t help me now.

It doesn’t install a better auto-level sensor or tool-changing on my printer. It doesn’t give me a good print bed (one I bought was damaged by prints) or even just a newer control board. I’m not even going to buy a slicer key, I don’t want to spend more money on this nor do I want to think about it.

I’ve already acknowledged that some of this was my hubris and I would likely still be printing had I just stuck with what I had. Maybe someone could even help me get back there in exchange for/using my spare parts, but I live in nowheresville w/no car and don’t know anybody so that is not happening.

  • The last 2 lines of the text make it sound like bait if the 6-figure thing wasn’t a joke (otherwise, delusional). Depression likely, if not other health issues that led to this.

I am not quite as bad as the text but for me: parents are doing their own thing (these days, computer time), almost as isolated as I am.

It probably helps that I do tasks for them (mostly sweeping, unloading dishwasher/garbage, carrying firewood etc). Not that I can do much given that I, much like they (who are anti-doctor), have untreated health issues. Seemingly is enough they don’t threaten to kick me out (though maybe they know that I would just leave with no place to go, and likely die).

Also it was unlikely in car-centric areas of the USA as-it-was

but I don’t think there’s hard-working out of this after medicaid is gutted (not that was even an easily accessible path before).

Maybe anon can lose 50 pounds, get a hobby, and leave the house a few times a month when the weather is nice… but probably not getting a job/moving out with no help while the government implodes and normal people were already struggling to pay bills.

  • The blocky white outline on everything in your example I’d say is a technical issue (common with beginners) not one that others who have used a digital art program would likely consider a stylistic choice. Home Movies is imperfect and minimalist, but it is well-presented… and even season 2 is much smoother due to the switch to Flash, which may be part of it.

Weird stuff was either successful because the good outweighed the bad (the really bad stuff gets lost to time)… or because seemingly-bad choices were deliberate, had technical benefits, and were skillfully done.

In other words, there’s a big difference between something being “experimental” and it being early practice.

Though I will say sometimes style/proportions just bother people especially when common, see the hate for cal-arts memes.

  • Brain preserved, revived (not “uploaded”/copied!) by someone competent and caring (a science organization perhaps) in hundreds of years, somewhere that’s not complete shit assuming there is such a place still. I wouldn’t mind staying in the VR-jar for a while for a slow assessment, training, and introduction to the future world and brain fixing etc while building connections.

A new form of life. A deeper connection to technology does not mean I want to abandon nature. If anything I want more robust microbiomes than humans have and whatever techniques can be borrowed from nature (photosynthesis or creation of other organic molecules, connect to mycelium network etc) for homeostasis or environmental management/living conditions. Which would allow me to focus on hobbies while my body mostly maintains itself.

Ideally I could exist as something comparable to the size of a microwave but could connect to larger bodies if needed. Or as an extra observer/backup shift/co-pilot etc.
