I’ve held off on Persona 3 as well for that reason and SMTV confirms what they’re going to do by doing another full release and no dlc upgrade or update to the original.

Fancy that.
I’m going through Yakuza Kiwami at the moment, hoping to maybe finish it over the weekend and then start number 2.
Hoping to have Granblue Fantasy Relink next week. Wasn’t able to secure a copy due to low stock.
The music as well is so good on Cassette Beats.
Just finished Uncharted 4 for the 2nd time. Now starting Uncharted the Lost Legacy.
How are you finding Avatar?
It looks intriguing for sure though I have heard comments that it’s sort of the typical Ubisoft hunt the icon type game with in Avatar world skin.
Playing Dave the Diver at the moment.
Disappointed that it went on sale hours after I bought it but even at full price it’s worth the price of admission.
Best this year, I think would be Astal Ascent as I love the gameplay loop and how it feels.
Worst this year is undoubtly Endless Dungeon. Released in a beta crappy state and doesn’t seem fully realised.
Wwaste of money that one.
Secret of Mana on the SNES and Mario brothers 3.
Been playing Astral Ascent which is a gem of a roguelite that came out recently.
Unfortunately only the Xbox version will have it all included on the disc.
The PS5 and PC version will be included as a code for the DLC.

Well it looks like some regions won’t be getting the dlc till the 23rd of Nov.
Not sure why they’ve done that.
Even though it’s coming this week I don’t know how I feel about this when consoles haven’t gotten the Ro2 rehaul or void dlc yet.
I love Vanillaware. Actually wish they’d port over Dragon Crown and Odin Sphere for the switch.
If there’s one thing they really know how to make their sprites detailed in animation and design and the food of course.
Never forget the food.
Hades is probably one of my most played ones of recent time.
This has become one of my favourite genres and I own a good number of them.
I’d like to mention Dreamscaper and One Step from Eden as notable ones.
Monster Train as well because of how unique it is.
I preorder physical stuff only, especially titles which are going to be in limited quantities due to low interest and number of copy printed.
Where I preorder still has a 7 day return policy as well so if it’s seriously bad or broken like Cyberpunk 2077 then I can just return and get my money back.
Don’t normally do digital preorders since it’s hard to cancel it and usually no point.
I’ve heard the DLC is bad value for money.
The game is ok. It’s probably just me but some of the dialog is felt a bit long winded.
I hate what the gaming landscape has become.
Micro transactions, seasons passes, small dlc that are often poor money for value, in some cases in the past as well we’ve seen endings sealed behind dlc or things that clearly should have been part of the game but cut out just to make people buy them as dlc.
My most recent purchase of an expansion that really sticks out is probably Xenoblade 3 where you get a whole new story arc and it’s pretty big in terms of expansions.
Why does it stick out? Because it’s very well done and extremely good value for money.
