Both glowing portions are natural gas pipes. Perhaps it’s somehow ignited inside the pipes and is super heating them but also somehow NOT travelling outside the two glowing sections and burning the house down???

Same boat as you. The HOA maintains a pathway in a wetlands reserve right behind the residential area and it costs less than $20/mo.
They don’t really care what you do besides the following: no farm animals/chickens, no structural changes to the homes without a licensed contractor performing the construction, shoot an email to the HOA if you’re going to replace your roof or repaint your house to keep SOME level of uniformity.
Mostly they don’t care. Hell, the CC&R’s and HOA incorporation docs literally say they won’t directly enforce things against you and leave it up to the neighbors to take you to court with the HOA docs/agreements as free ammo. So if you explicitly want to be a menace to your neighbors/piss people off or want to have the only bright ass neon pink home with custom additions in the entire neighborhood - probably not the place for you. Otherwise they’ve had no effect on myself or my neighbors whatsoever and the wetlands/park is really nice.
Why would I recommend Fileflows? It was a little more user friendly in my experience without requiring pulling in configurations from other sources. I know there are repos chalk full of Tdarr settings and configs, but for simple setups and DIY I preferred the Fileflows interface. The end result is basically the same, so pick your poison.
Isn’t this almost the inverse argument to the android vs iPhone thing? Like the iPhone being (traditionally) more expensive for the “same technology from 5 years ago”? I don’t really have a horse in this race, I’m a firm believer in use what you like and is easiest/best for you. But I do feel compelled to call this one out a bit.
I might recommend fileflows over tdarr- but either way some kind of similar solution is almost mandatory with the grab bag of arbitrary encodings you find out there.
Atomic OS’s (especially Fedora based) with Nvidia are going to be a bit of a pain. Did you follow all the instructions found Here ? I personally gave up on silverblue/kinoite after I tried Bazzite. Similar bases, but the Bazzite devs paid special attention to GPU and accessory drivers/implementations that are otherwise much more painful in Fedora Atomics. You can always do a clean rebase then re-run the steps above (only the OSTree section).

Alright, where’s my replacement once my current Fitbit dies? What company makes a watch that tracks steps, heart rate, sleep, spO2, notifications, is generally water resistant (light swimming) and has a battery that lasts ~5+ days? Bonus points for open firmware/hardware that doesn’t require me to design my own apps/systems for each of those items. I don’t even use most of what my Versa 3 can do, but I know it won’t last forever and I’d at least like an idea of where to go if/when it breaks down.
Proton experimental and (at least as of yesterday) I had to opt into bleeding edge beta as well or I’d just get black screen at launch.
No stuttering for me on Linux… Runs as good as it ever has but the visuals are even that much better due to the engine upgrades. Not a fan of the new UI, but the old UI was clunky too, so I can’t really say it’s even a step backwards.
My friends and I all LOVED the pick-up nature of SG1. We’re all adults with busy lives, so hopping into a ~5 minute casual match was just so easy. And the casual nature made it feel like we could have success without “grinding” the game. I guess that is explicitly not the intent of SG2.
The shift from “we’re making a fun and relatively casual arena shooter with a neat gimmick and extremely rewarding fundamentals” to “we’re making a generic e sport shooter” was swift and, frankly, uncalled for.
Difficult to exploit, already in the process of being patched. Truly, the most breaking of news.
He retains the “Cold Take” name and property- so here’s hoping he continues it, whether that’s under some new media company or even just as a solo content creator.
Ooooh okay. Yeah, I avoided the playstore version. I’m pretty sure I had read somewhere early on that the Playstore version would lack features or otherwise be behind in some ways due to complying with certain Google specific requirements to be allowed on the storefront. Kind of like KDEConnect.
I’ve got it opening YouTube links by default… At least from within other apps. In Firefox I can also hit “open in app” and it pops right up. Casting works too.
Tribes 3 was missing all the secondary objectives stuff that made T2 so much more accessible. Even if you weren’t snapping crazy midair shots or cruising through fast flag caps you could still contribute via base attack or defense, vehicle support, etc. It felt like a crazy mix of arena shooter and early Battlefield games.
Yeah, but it’s pretty dead at this point past I checked. The devs teased a sequel and interest in the current iteration waned.
They actually had a neat solution to that in the form of some basic bots to help fill in for under-queued matches. Not too different from what Splitgate had going on (man, I miss that one too!) It gave beginners something to chew on a little bit. Would have been nice to have custom server options to tune bots and matches, like in Tribes 2. Apparently that kind of thing is simply too much to ask for.
Oh baby, time to proselytize the masses of Lemmy and introduce a whole new set of suckers to “Fido”. It’s zombies with big Fallout vibes and is unironically one of the best C to B tier movies I’ve ever seen. It’s the kind of movie where it looks like everyone involved was just having fun with it, ya know? Check it out and make sure to let me know what you think!
