I think the second half of 2023 (well more like Q4/september) is gonna be amazing for game releases. Games like Payday 3, Cities Skylines 2, Starfield. Any other I missed that you’re excited for?
And Baldurs Gate 3! And Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty. For those who enjoy various types of RPGs.
And that massive 2.0 update for cyberpunk. Ive been playing recently, tho ive found its still quite buggy, hopefully that update fixes the bugs
I’m scared but eager for PL. Played the main story last summer after all the bug fixes, but I don’t want to wait another 2 years for the game to be in a playable state, also CDPR’s comments lately got me a bit worried
Pikmin 4 Super Mario Bros. Wonder
SUPER MARIO RPG BABY
Super Mario RPG is the thing that may make me dust off the switch this year after TOTK but I dunno. I wanted it for all these years and now I can"t escape the thought that it’s still kinda creatively bankrupt
Armored Core 6 and Remnant 2! A lot of games like Hades 2 and Hollow Knight silksong don’t have release dates so… Maybe this year?
Can’t forget homeworld 3!
Edit: I was late to the party, hw3 got pushed to 2024. So I’ll change my answer to the expense game, which comes in July.
Also, hard agree on star field, and CS2!
Edit2: armored core 6
I was gutted when HW3 was pushed to next year, I was so looking forward to playing it this summer.
Same, at the time I made the comment I didn’t even realize they had pushed it back. Cut it a little close to release didn’t they?
New Assassins Creed, for those who enjoy those kinda games. Which I do. Also maybe XDefiant.
Pretty stoked for xDefiant. Beta was very fun
Mortal Kombat 1
I know I’m not adding much with this, but… Yep, it’ll be good.
Sure, but so was the first half.
Alan Wake 2 and Spider-Man 2
Sadly many games that will not reach PC or at least for a few years. I would love a world where games are released to all current platform on the same day for everyone. More people having access to games is better for customers, devs/studios … but some high ranked apparently thinks blocking access to games if you don’t own their specific plaform is something good and even required to face the concurrence and i think it’s bullshit but it’s just my gamer’s opinion.
I feel like 2023 needs to be written off for games. Yeah we’re getting Starfield but that’s about all the “AAA” games I feel.
I think this is a lagged effect due to COVID. I think it won’t be until second half of 2024 or 2025 till we start seeing regular AAA game releases again.
I’m excited for Like a Dragon Gaiden!
If we’re lucky we’ll get Path of Exile 2. Unlikely, but I’m hoping.
Great because there’s alot of promise with what we’ve seen so far. Bad cuz I’m a dad with no time to play!
Forza Motorsport. Namco’s never making a new Ridge Racer, so that’ll have to do for a while again
