The book ‘Future Shock’ came out about fifty years ago and it predicted that a lot of people, facing the massive changes caused by the switch from the Industrial Era to the Digital Age would be unwilling and/or unable to deal with the new world. They’d go insane, desperately trying to hold on tighter and tighter to a world they had already lost.
