At around April 25th, I called Computershare to sold my dingleberry, and disabled PALN and DRIP completely. Two days later, I found out that I still have PLAN 0.0 share in my account, so I called them again. I asked them to remove this 0 plan from my account because it made me uncomfortable, they told me it’s fine but I insist, so the clerk created a work order to remove it from my account. I got the work order number but then forgot about it because the clerk also said it’s not guaranteed.

Today I login to my account,

WOW, my account is so pure:

I don’t personally have a strong opinion on this course of action yet. From what I have been told by computershare reps and heard from others, the plan holdings - 0 on an account is more to track archive of transactions for the account.

Being unenrolled from DirectStock should make you the sole legal title holder of your shares. You would not be able to have a nonzero plan share number while also being unenrolled.

I have not taken this step yet for my own Computershare accounts. I am not sure how a person would access their complete transaction history after plan holdings were removed from the account, so that’s something to consider.

I would love to get direct clarification from Computershare on this. At the moment, I think this is more a cosmetic change than otherwise, but I want to learn more.

Love the pureness. Nicely done and thank you for sharing!!
