I think this community will grow, it’ll just take some time and getting used to the layout and format. I’ll admit I’m going through the learning curve right now but Reddit will be so insanely compromised once they go live with their IPO and decentralization is the way - so I’m willing to go through the discomfort now to reap the rewards later.
This is a big thing that, I think, many miss - including myself.
Lemmy is decentralized - which brings with it a lot of different benefits and drawbacks. Currently, one drawback is a relative dearth of users compared to some other platforms. That will most certainly change, though.
