I hate discord, and only use it for coordinating game playing, and that’s maybe an hour or two a month.

Matrix is okay, but nobody else I know is willing to use it. It’s still not great as a chat/messenger imo. Good, and not problematic in the ways that matter to me, but it’s not going to replace something like telegram any time soon (which is great, but problematic in a few ways).
