Sun Tzu in Apespeak
Hello 🦍🦍 I initially wrote this 2 yrs ago and due to reddit censorship was unable to post the updated version; I’m incredibly glad Apes are extending their web presence to Lemmy and am excited to present this work!
This sort of information is valuable to the community given the psychological nature of what remains. I think readings/posts like this are generally fun and benefit the community by making hodling more enjoyable/giving the zen something other than FUD/shills to engage with on weekends.
In this post I summarize and offer a brief analysis of The Art of War as it pertains to the GME/Ape saga. I believe this post will prove useful in educating our community and in helping dispel FUD attacks when they occur. Make no mistake Apes, the hedgies are at war and so are we; albeit a non-traditional, non-violent, financial war, but a war nonetheless (I’d like to say both sides are acting legally but we both know Apes are the only party playing by the rules). And rather shockingly household investors are winning through the simplest investment strategy there is: buy, hold, and own a fundamentally strong company thru pure DRS. The algorithms and criminal practices that made them billionaires are proving weaker than Apes conviction in this trade. Since the saga began with DFV, Apes have proven that our support for GME is equal to hedgies best efforts for survival (at least for now… hint hedgies r fookd).
**TLDR: Continue to buy, hodl, and PURE DRS; all shorts must close.

Included in this post are the sections of Sun Tzu’s treaty which I have deemed most relevant to the situation at hand, as well as brief comments linking the text to GME. I of course welcome all feedback and or thoughts as to how hedgies might be employing war stratagems and how Apes can employ them ourselves to best leverage our position by creating new, useful, accessible information, through legal methods. — One of the many things making our community great is the peer-review and brainstorming process that occurs after a post so please tell me what you think :).
I will further preface this post by saying I am a smooth brain and for one whole year in grade school, I sniffed glue for two hours a day; nothing in this post is advice, financial or otherwise, it is solely information and personal speculation. I choose to reread The Art of War in preparation for moass and because my nerd brain said it was time. Upon finishing, I thought a post of this nature could benefit our community by making valuable information more accessible. I hope you enjoy and are left with some wrinkles.
Please note: This work mentions States, Commanders, Soldiers, He/His etc. a lot, and for obvious reasons; interpret it as best makes sense with regard to the ‘leaderless peaceful independent investors buying and holding a stock they love’ situation the Apes have enthralled ourselves in. I will be clarifying and adding brief personal comments which I shall henceforth encompass in brackets, anything else is directly from the text; if I skip any numbers in a list it is because the other points are not relevant (imo). This post will be approximately 7k words and you will be reading a good percentage of the text; prepare yourself. If you feel you have something to add in the comments please do so.
(Apes vs Financial Terrorists: The War for Infinity
Apes read the dd, Apes continuously and sustainably buy/hold/drs, Apes diamond hand.
The criminals try to slither and crime their way free.
Let’s see what happens.)
I: Laying Plans
-
The art of war is of vital importance to the State.
-
It is a matter of life and death, a road either to safety or to ruin. Hence it is a subject of inquiry which can on no account be neglected.
-
The Commander stands for the virtues of wisdom, sincerity, benevolence, courage, and strictness.
-
In your deliberations, when seeking to determine the military conditions, let them be made on the basis of a comparison, in this wise:
(1) Which of the two sovereigns is imbued with the Moral law?
(2) Which of the two generals has the most ability?
(3) With whom lie the advantages derived from Heaven and Earth?
-
By means of these seven (three) considerations I can forecast victory or defeat.
-
According as circumstances are favorable, one should modify one’s plans.
-
All warfare is based on deception.
(Our enemies have been employing this one through FUD, misinformation, lying, etc… Side note: the intro to the MW3 load screen lol.)
- Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near.
(To combat this consider all the information you intake and try to remove your bias when evaluating; critical thinking is a life skill and where the enemy is can be ascertained by careful scrutinization of the facts. I think the Apes of done an excellent job uncovering their movements but there’s certainly more to find. Consider the reach of the individuals we’re up against and understand the scope their actions may entail.)
- Hold out baits to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and crush him.
(Eg. Shills hyping dates and amplifying hedgies in ‘disarray’ only to sideways trade for a month after people bought ill advised options… this is free money to hedgies and means less Ape buying power.)
- If he is secure at all points, be prepared for him. If he is in superior strength, evade him.
(They are secure and we are prepared. We continue to prepare further when we create and intake new information each day. They should have avoided us because Apes are the Whale now. Bullish 🚀🚀)
- If your opponent is of choleric temper, seek to irritate him. Pretend to be weak, that he may grow arrogant.
(Anything you can do to legally piss these people off is a great start; tracking flight records is one such great way to do this imo. Remember even if they appear to be weak at times they have a lot of capital/power so be prepared for this to last indefinitely and you will be pleasantly surprised when moass occurs. A true Ape mindset is ‘if not today then tomorrow and if not tomorrow then the next day ad infintiem, which is to say moass will happen when it happens and because Apes are hodling we’ll be here when it happens.)
-
If he is taking his ease, give him no rest. If his forces are united, separate them.
-
Attack him where he is unprepared, appear where you are not expected.
-
These military devices, leading to victory, must not be divulged beforehand.
-
Now the general who wins a battle makes many calculations in his temple ere the battle is fought. The general who loses a battle makes but few calculations beforehand. Thus do many calculations lead to victory, and few calculations to defeat: how much more no calculation at all! It is by attention to this point that I can foresee who is likely to win or lose.
(Information is our weapon, creating accessible and well-researched new information has created a positive feedback loop of learning. And this is why we will have world-changing money, it’s why we will hold when the price is in the tens of millions, and it’s especially why we know hedgies r fuk.)
II: Waging War
- Again, if the campaign is protracted, the resources of the State will not be equal to the strain.
(If Apes never buy more than they are able to and continually apply buying pressure, we can wage this war indefinitely, hedgies can not.)
- There is no instance of a country having benefited from prolonged warfare.
(By this principle, I can extrapolate that hedgies would have ended this immediately if possible. That they couldn’t in January further jacks my tits.)
-
Now in order to (beat) the enemy, (Apes) must be roused to anger; that there may be advantage from defeating the enemy, they must have their rewards (Tendies)
-
This is called, using the conquered foe to augment one’s own strength.
(Buying back shares during the moass dips to increase net position is one such strategy, I recall some Apes have spoken of this strategy though it will not be mine personally, I’ll just hold my pure drs’d shares for the infinity pool.)
- In war, then, let your great object be victory, not lengthy campaigns.
(This one is tough considering this community is so much fun and the longer it drags on the more I can buy :) but the MOASS is both inevitable and our great objective - and for Apes to win the #of drsd hodlers/shares must increase faster than the kleptocrats can destroy enough of the economy/ ppls lives to get out of their illegal, terribly chosen, naked short positions.
Understand that the proliferation of facts is Apes biggest tool. Apes must be relentless as it takes a lot of good, well-timed content to convince someone that drsing gme is a way take everything from the capital class destroying the earth/society.
Every individual has various strengths that could benefit the movement. Think about what you can do or create that could convince and educate those around you. Think about how you can proliferate factual information lambasting financial terrorists; show the ppl they can dismantle the kleptocracy… Some people write dd, some make memes or libraries or informative websites or data backups or translate wrinkly content or talk to people or make road signs to honk for the stonk or entertain the sub with fruit orr etc lol, it doesnt matter what you do, just ensure you’re doing it to your fullest capability. This is a fight for our lives, ”escalate your commitment” Dr. T.)
III: Attack by Statagem
- Sun Tzu said: In the practical art of war, the best thing of all is to take the enemy’s country whole and intact; to shatter and destroy it is not so good. So, too, it is better to recapture an army entire than to destroy it, to capture a regiment, a detachment or a company entire than to destroy them.
(That’s right Kenny, Stevie, et Co. please stop spending all my tendies on FUD and bots! Either short the stock or get margin called that is Ape money.)
- The general, unable to control his irritation, will launch his men to the assault like swarming ants, with the result that one-third of his men are slain while the town still remains untaken. Such are the disastrous effects of a siege.
(Comes down to our mentality, the Apes are and need to be cool, calm, and collected; we are not changing our day-to-day lives and we are continually buying when and what we are able. This means we can maintain the ‘siege’ without the disastrous effects.)
- Therefore the skillful leader subdues the enemy’s troops without any fighting; he captures their cities without laying siege to them; he overthrows their kingdom without lengthy operations in the field.
(The community makes this easy because while hedgies are sweating and scheming to beat us we’re laughing at memes, conducting research, and trying to bring more Apes into the fold simply by talking about one of the most exciting things happening in our lives. Spreading our information to as many people as possible is the way.)
- With his forces intact he will dispute the mastery of the Empire, and thus, without losing a man, his triumph will be complete. This is the method of attacking by stratagem.
(I cannot stress how important it is to maintain your well-being throughout this process. This means your mental, physical, and monetary health. Plz wear a respirator and push for indoor air quality mandates… Covid is not over in the slightest and if we don’t protect ourselves, one may be disabled or dead b4 moass :()
- Thus we may know that there are five essentials for victory:
(1) He will win who knows when to fight and when not to fight. (don’t engage bots and shills, downvote/ignore them.)
(2) He will win who knows how to handle both superior and inferior forces.
(3) He will win whose army is animated by the same spirit throughout all its ranks. (Our tits are eternally jacked and we are a part of a brilliantly funny, kind, and informative community.)
(4) He will win who, prepared himself, waits to take the enemy unprepared. (Be ready for FUD, be ready for dips, and especially be ready for the insane rips Apes will hodl through.)
(5) He will win who has military capacity and is not interfered with by the sovereign. (We have the capacity, let’s see how much fukery the sovereign might impose.)
- Hence the saying: If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.
IV: Tactical Disposition
- Sun Tzu said: The good fighters of old first put themselves beyond the possibility of defeat, and then waited for an opportunity of defeating the enemy
(Buy and hold can’t fail because they never closed.)
- To secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself.
(We have been given an opportunity to beat our oppressors; the people who have and will crash our economy again and again, the people who ensure the poor stay poor through illegal and immoral practices, the people who have bought their way out of all significant persecution… these scoundrels have given us the opportunity of a lifetime. The zeal of the apes is the by-product of decades of crime and BS. Buy and Hold is our chance to change the world for the better.)
- Hence the skillful fighter puts himself into a position which makes defeat impossible, and does not miss the moment for defeating the enemy
(Don’t paper hand and don’t day trade. Buy more, and don’t throw your money away on options unless you are super wrinkly, I’ve seen some semi-meritious arguments in favor of measured options plays but I will stick to buying and holding shares.)
- Thus it is that in war the victorious strategist only seeks battle after the victory has been won, whereas he who is destined to defeat first fights and afterwards looks for victory
(“sELL noW aND AsK QEustIOns laTEr”. Naked shorting a stock well over 226% is fighting and looking for victories afterward; Apes who see this inevitability and buy and hold are thinking like a victorious strategist, hedgies are squirming like they are destined for defeat.)
- In respect of military method, we have, firstly, Measurement; secondly, Estimation of quantity; thirdly, Calculation; fourthly, Balancing of chances; fifthly, Victory.
V: Energy
- Sun Tzu said: The control of a large force is the same principle as the control of a few men: it is merely a question of dividing up their numbers.
(We are that large force, notice how hedgies try to divide us. We know how to beat this: treat everyone with respect and kindness. Welcome constructive counter-arguments and engage in polite discourse as we search for more information and enlighten our peers.)
-
In all fighting, the direct method may be used for joining battle, but indirect methods will be needed in order to secure victory.
-
Indirect tactics, efficiently applied, are inexhaustible as Heaven and Earth, unending as the flow of rivers and streams; like the sun and moon, they end but to begin anew; like the four seasons, they pass away to return once more.
(Always be thinking about new strategies.)
-
In battle, there are not more than two methods of attack—the direct and the indirect; yet these two in combination give rise to an endless series of maneuvers.
-
The direct and the indirect lead on to each other in turn. It is like moving in a circle—you never come to an end. Who can exhaust the possibilities of their combination?
(hedgies will fight until they can no longer which means we must be always seeking to maximize our indirect and direct combinations of attack eg. memes about how generally corrupt the system is that can be laughed at by those with no knowledge of the GME situation, thus potentially bringing them into the fold.)
- Amid the turmoil and tumult of battle, there may be seeming disorder and yet no real disorder at all; amid confusion and chaos, your array may be without head or tail, yet it will be proof against defeat.
(Consider if Reddit goes down, or the amount of FUD we will have to endure during moass, it means nothing if we stay cool, calm, collected, and true to our individual diamond floors.)
- Simulated disorder postulates perfect discipline, simulated fear postulates courage; simulated weakness postulates strength.
(Consider if what we believe hedgies to be fukd is them tricking us ie. hyping up nothing days. Always criticize and analyze the information presented to you; how does our enemy appear to postulate? It may indicate their true disposition.)
-
By holding out baits, he keeps him on the march; then with a body of picked men he lies in wait for him (Options trading.)
-
When he utilizes combined energy, his fighting men become as it were like unto rolling logs or stones. For it is the nature of a log or stone to remain motionless on level ground, and to move when on a slope; if four-cornered, to come to a standstill, but if roundshaped, to go rolling down.
(More Apes means faster and bigger moass. To expand our reach the fastest i suggest trying to educate the sub-set of social media users who are already disillusioned by the system and ready to make positive change; I see ‘joking’ tweets about an impending revolution daily and the crash hasn’t even happened yet. Spreading information there would help fill our ranks with zealous individual investors. I have posted a template with sources briefly explaining the saga in the comments.)
VI: Weak Points and Strong
- Sun Tzu said: Whoever is first in the field and awaits the coming of the enemy, will be fresh for the fight; whoever is second in the field and has to hasten to battle will arrive exhausted.
(idk about you but I certainly see thousands of Apes eagerly waiting for battle each day in the daily thread “OPEN THE FRAUDULENT CASINO !!” is my personal fav.)
-
Therefore the clever combatant imposes his will on the enemy, but does not allow the enemy’s will to be imposed on him. (Dispel FUD, treat people with love :))
-
By holding out advantages to him, he can cause the enemy to approach of his own accord; or, by inflicting damage, he can make it impossible for the enemy to draw near.
-
If the enemy is taking his ease, he can harass him; if well supplied with food, he can starve him out; if quietly encamped, he can force him to move.
(Consider the various sub-migrations, shill infiltration, the mainstream media producing enraging fake or dishonest news reports, all of these things are a coordinated attack by our enemy.)
-
If we wish to fight, the enemy can be forced to an engagement even though he be sheltered behind a high rampart and a deep ditch. All we need do is attack some other place that he will be obliged to relieve.
-
For should the enemy strengthen his van, he will weaken his rear; should he strengthen his rear, he will weaken his van; should he strengthen his left, he will weaken his right; should he strengthen his right, he will weaken his left. If he sends reinforcements everywhere, he will everywhere be weak.
(They are making moves, money is moving, so the question is where to. Our diligent analysis and research allow us to uncover and prepare for our enemies’ plans.)
-
Though the enemy be stronger in numbers, we may prevent him from fighting. Scheme so as to discover his plans and the likelihood of their success. (Keep digging Apes.)
-
Rouse him, and learn the principle of his activity or inactivity. Force him to reveal himself, so as to find out his vulnerable spots
-
In making tactical dispositions, the highest pitch you can attain is to conceal them; conceal your dispositions, and you will be safe from the prying of the subtlest spies, from the machinations of the wisest brains.
-
How victory may be produced for them out of the enemy’s own tactics—that is what the multitude cannot comprehend.
(Turning off the buy button is a perfect example. Their own tactic gave Apes the time to research and enlarge our community, we are now relatively well-equipped for moass.)
- So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong and to strike at what is weak.
(The MSM can no longer credibly say Gamestop is dead (yet they do) because the company is flourishing, so what do they do? Attack retail investor’s intellect and decision-making something like ‘we know better than you stupid Redditors’ aptly surmises some of their ‘articles’. They avoid covering or acknowledging many of the great fundamental changes of the company and the shills don’t offer counter dd, they attack without basis and or try to create conflict.)
VII: Maneuvering
- Thus, if you order your men to roll up their buffcoats, and make forced marches without halting day or night, covering double the usual distance at a stretch, doing a hundred LI in order to wrest an advantage, the leaders of all your three divisions will fall into the hands of the enemy.
(Buying more than you’re able may necessitate the liquidation of some of your position.)
- The stronger men will be in front, the jaded ones will fall behind, and on this plan only one-tenth of your army will reach its destination.
(Only those who believe in moass, diamond handing, and the infinity pool will reach the moon, and personally, I want my NFT should one be released.)
- We may take it then that an army without its baggage-train is lost; without provisions it is lost; without bases of supply it is lost.
(Without our health, wealth, and happiness Apes can’t continue this fight so again please make sure you meet your own needs first and foremost, we need strong Apes to be strongest together.)
- We are not fit to lead an army on the march unless we are familiar with the face of the country—its mountains and forests, its pitfalls and precipices, its marshes and swamps.
(Learning about all the financial fuckery and crimes that have been happening in our system is a great start, uncovering their plan etc. The more knowledge we collectively obtain regarding our environment and the actors within it, the stronger we are.)
- We shall be unable to turn natural advantage to account unless we make use of local guides.
(Dr. Trimbath and the Computershare/DRS saga seems to fit this imo. Experts in the field have so much value to offer us; we are not the first to note their crimes, although we will ensure we are the last by demanding fundamental reform.)
- In war, practice dissimulation, and you will succeed.
(I really think we should practice our individual plans for if Reddit goes down or they block buying again. If your plan is to zen out and hodl perfect. If you need some community assurance where do we rendezvous? I think the Gangnam style thing is pretty funny. Lemmy is a great option. What if the internet goes down? Do you know how to place a phone trade? Consider what pitfalls might occur and hedge against them.)
- Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt.
(Consider all the distractions hedgies have thrown at us as they scheme in the dark. The runic glory mod meltdown combined with dropping the price reeked of this to me; it is always a sudden and severe attack to drive FUD into our ranks. Do any Apes have recollections of similar events?)
- When you plunder a countryside, let the spoil be divided amongst your men; when you capture new territory, cut it up into allotments for the benefit of the soldiery.
(Remember Apes when moass occurs holding with diamond hands so the Ape with fewer shares can get off when they so choose, is the way. Conversely, the Ape with fewer shares who knows the dd is very likely to hold the longest to maximize their tendies which is also the way. Hmmm I think hedgies r fukd)
-
Ponder and deliberate before you make a move.
-
The Book of Army Management says: On the field of battle, the spoken word does not carry far enough: hence the institution of gongs and drums. Nor can ordinary objects be seen clearly enough: hence the institution of banners and flags.
(How many people have you tried to tell about the saga that disbelieve and think you’re a little crazy but never actually do any research themselves. Our words often fall upon ignorant ears, this is why introductory easy to understand guides are good. This is why meme videos and humorous takes on the market are good. When we synthesize our methods of communication we gain the ability to reach more channels/ears.)
- In night-fighting, then, make much use of signal fires and drums, and in fighting by day, of flags and banners, as a means of influencing the ears and eyes of your army.
(Keep producing excellent DD’s, keep tracking publicly available data, and keep making memes.)
-
A whole army may be robbed of its spirit; a commander-in-chief may be robbed of his presence of mind.
-
A clever general, therefore, avoids an army when its spirit is keen, but attacks it when it is sluggish and inclined to return. This is the art of studying moods.
(This may be why we see fluctuations in bot attacks: why would Kenny and Co. pay for attacks when we are entering a verifiable hype period with big events that will suppress shills best efforts.)
- Disciplined and calm, to await the appearance of disorder and hubbub amongst the enemy:—this is the art of retaining self-possession.
(We know the dd and so we calmly wait. They will strike us when we are weakest and our spirits are lowest, this is kinda hard considering how jacked all of our tits are all the time, today might really be tomorrow! I keep thinking I couldn’t possibly get more excited but I am continually wrong.)
- To be near the goal while the enemy is still far from it, to wait at ease while the enemy is toiling and struggling, to be well-fed while the enemy is famished:— this is the art of husbanding one’s strength.
(Keep yourself in good health and financial position. We are in such a position to wait with ease if only we do not overexert ourselves.)
-
Do not swallow bait offered by the enemy. Do not interfere with an army that is returning home.
-
When you surround an army, leave an outlet free. Do not press a desperate foe too hard.
(We left them a way out, they just don’t like it, no cell no sell.)
- Such is the art of warfare.
VIII: Variation in Tactics
- Hence in the wise leader’s plans, considerations of advantage and of disadvantage will be blended together.
(Consider what expenses or obligations you have; how might they change, can you mitigate any of the negative effects of such a change. Consider if you got laid off, can you find another job, do you have savings, etc.)
-
If our expectation of advantage be tempered in this way, we may succeed in accomplishing the essential part of our schemes
-
If, on the other hand, in the midst of difficulties we are always ready to seize an advantage, we may extricate ourselves from misfortune.
-
Reduce the hostile chiefs by inflicting damage on them; and make trouble for them, and keep them constantly engaged; hold out specious allurements, and make them rush to any given point.
(Keep sending formal complaints, keep tracking publicly available data, keep petitioning, and keep digging Apes!)
- The art of war teaches us to rely not on the likelihood of the enemy’s not coming, but on our own readiness to receive him; not on the chance of his not attacking, but rather on the fact that we have made our position unassailable.
(Buy, hold, register, zen and ignore the noise… make your position unassailable.)
IX: The Army on the March
- When the enemy is close at hand and remains quiet, he is relying on the natural strength of his position.
(The enemy is close and they are not quiet about how certain they are Gamestop is a failing company, they cannot rely on the natural strength of their position because they are fukd, hence the use of every other tactic they can think of.)
-
If his place of encampment is easy of access, he is tendering a bait.
-
Humble words and increased preparations are signs that the enemy is about to advance. Violent language and driving forward as if to the attack are signs that he will retreat.
(Recall all the FUD about how much lower it will go- “back to $10 FAST plz Sell” lol.)
- Peace proposals unaccompanied by a sworn covenant indicate a plot.
(Any statement by officials that is not backed up by enforced legislation is done simply to placate the Apes. Don’t be satisfied until we see the change we demand. We want a free and fair market for all.)
- The sight of men whispering together in small knots or speaking in subdued tones points to disaffection amongst the rank and file.
(I like to imagine that in those busy skyscrapers on Sunday night the staff is talking about how fucked Kenny, Stevie, and Co. are.)
- He who exercises no forethought but makes light of his opponents is sure to be captured by them.
(Apes are doing battle with some of the most powerful people on earth; do not take them lightly. Consider what sort of fuckery they may employ)
X: Terrain
-
The natural formation of the country is the soldier’s best ally; but a power of estimating the adversary, of controlling the forces of victory, and of shrewdly calculating difficulties, dangers and distances, constitutes the test of a great general.
-
The general who advances without coveting fame and retreats without fearing disgrace, whose only thought is to protect his country and do good service for his sovereign, is the jewel of the kingdom.
(I’m going to help so many people with my tendies; anything less would be disgraceful.)
- Regard your soldiers as your children, and they will follow you into the deepest valleys; look upon them as your own beloved sons, and they will stand by you even unto death.
(Apes view each other as family; I hold because I sincerely care about every Ape there is. And I know the feeling is mutual.)
- Hence the saying: If you know the enemy and know yourself, your victory will not stand in doubt; if you know Heaven and know Earth, you may make your victory complete.
XI: The Nine Situations
- Those who were called skillful leaders of old knew how to drive a wedge between the enemy’s front and rear; to prevent co-operation between his large and small divisions; to hinder the good troops from rescuing the bad, the officers from rallying their men.
(They try to divide us but it is not working; treat everyone kindly and keep searching for new ways to benefit Apes and GME.)
- If asked how to cope with a great host of the enemy in orderly array and on the point of marching to the attack, I should say: “Begin by seizing something which your opponent holds dear; then he will be amenable to your will.”
(For all the people who recognize the financial fuckery that has gone on too long and the killing of our planet for profits; those who have recognized the imperialism and subversions of rights of the people, for all those who have long-awaited change: it is now. We have them by the balls because we have them by their wallets, the only thing these slimy fucks have ever cared about. We will make them amenable to our will and end their corruption full stop.)
- Rapidity is the essence of war: take advantage of the enemy’s unreadiness, make your way by unexpected routes, and attack unguarded spots.
(Their attacks will be quick and where we least expect them.)
- Prohibit the taking of omens, and do away with superstitious doubts. Then, until death itself comes, no calamity need be feared.
(Get rich or die buyin is all I need to know.)
- The principle on which to manage an army is to set up one standard of courage which all must reach.
(Diamond handing is this standard.)
-
On serious ground, I would try to ensure a continuous stream of supplies. On difficult ground, I would keep pushing on along the road.
-
Place your army in deadly peril, and it will survive; plunge it into desperate straits, and it will come off in safety.
-
For it is precisely when a force has fallen into harm’s way that is capable of striking a blow for victory.
(A lot of us have put nearly all our money into this because of our conviction; we have put ourselves in this precarious position and precisely because of this we will be able to deliver a finishing blow. When I realized that I was truly at war I got my money right and bought/continue to buy what I’m able.)
- Success in warfare is gained by carefully accommodating ourselves to the enemy’s purpose.
(Where do they want us to look, where are they hiding secrets, etc.)
- By persistently hanging on the enemy’s flank, we shall succeed in the long run in (beating) the commander-in-chief.
(Keep at it, let them know no rest.)
- This is called the ability to accomplish a thing by sheer cunning.
(Hats off to all the wrinkly ones who have made this movement possible.)
- On the day that you take up your command, block the frontier passes, destroy the official tallies, and stop the passage of all emissaries.
(What happened when market makers took control after the January sneeze? The reported short interest was hidden. We are dealing with a skilled commander as our adversary; do not take their abilities lightly.)
-
If the enemy leaves a door open, you must rush in (Infinity pool)
-
Forestall your opponent by seizing what he holds dear, and subtly contrive to time his arrival on the ground.
(Keep looking for patterns and keep on buying; the more we buy the bigger the hole gets, the more we dig into their plans the more prepared we will be.)
XII: The Attack by Fire
- In order to carry out an attack, we must have means available. The material for raising fire should always be kept in readiness.
(Amplify your stream of income if possible, it means more moon tickets.)
-
Hence the saying: The enlightened ruler lays his plans well ahead; the good general cultivates his resources.
-
Move not unless you see an advantage; use not your troops unless there is something to be gained; fight not unless the position is critical
(Consider all the hedgies desperate squirming these past months, this indicates them being in critical condition.)
- Hence the enlightened ruler is heedful and the good general full of caution. This is the way to keep a country at peace and an army intact.
XIII: The Use of Spies
- Hostile armies may face each other for years, striving for the victory which is decided in a single day. This being so, to remain in ignorance of the enemy’s condition simply because one grudges the outlay of a hundred ounces of silver in honors and emoluments, is the height of inhumanity
(Consider how much ammo these people have, consider how long they will fight, prepare yourselves. I like to hope the endgame is near but I will only believe it when I see it.)
- Thus, what enables the wise sovereign and the good general to strike and conquer, and achieve things beyond the reach of ordinary men, is foreknowledge.
(Apes have this foreknowledge of a crooked market balancing on a knifes edge)
-
Knowledge of the enemy’s dispositions can only be obtained from other men.
-
Hence the use of spies, of whom there are five classes:
(1) Local spies
(2) inward spies
(3) converted spies
(4) doomed spies
(5) surviving spies.
- Having local spies means employing the services of the inhabitants of a district.
(SEC offering whistleblower rewards.)
- Having inward spies, making use of officials of the enemy.
(Ex hedgie and market makers exposing corrupt practices employed eg. Cellar boxing.)
-
Having converted spies, getting hold of the enemy’s spies and using them for our own purposes.
-
Having doomed spies, doing certain things openly for purposes of deception, and allowing our spies to know of them and report them to the enemy.
(Consider Cramer’s ramblings and the MSM narrative as nothing more than deception.)
- Surviving spies, finally, are those who bring back news from the enemy’s camp.
(The Apes who take pictures/drone videos of our enemies buildings, industry insiders, etc.)
- Hence it is that which none in the whole army are more intimate relations to be maintained than with spies. None should be more liberally rewarded. In no other business should greater secrecy be preserved.
(Upvote those who fulfill these criteria.)
- Spies cannot be usefully employed without a certain intuitive sagacity.
(We need to be farsighted in our analyses as to what is and isn’t worth pursuing/engaging.)
-
They cannot be properly managed without benevolence and straightforwardness.
-
Without subtle ingenuity of mind, one cannot make certain of the truth of their reports.
-
Be subtle! be subtle! and use your spies for every kind of business.
-
Whether the object be to crush an army, to storm a city, or to assassinate an individual, it is always necessary to begin by finding out the names of the attendants, the aides-de-camp, and door-keepers and sentries of the general in command. Our spies must be commissioned to ascertain these.
(Keep digging; the dd is never done!)
-
It is through the information brought by the converted spy that we are able to acquire and employ local and inward spies.
-
It is owing to his information, again, that we can cause the doomed spy to carry false tidings to the enemy
-
Hence it is only the enlightened ruler and the wise general who will use the highest intelligence of the army for purposes of spying and thereby they achieve great results. Spies are a most important element in water, because on them depends an army’s ability to move.
(If you made it this far congrats you’re better prepared for moass :). After reading this it should be clear that Apes are winning the war and that the buy, hold, and pure DRS strategy will win the day, buckle up Ape family.)

This is a really cool post. I’m going to have to come back and read it in sections haha - and I definitely missed it whenever it was first posted on Reddit.
Thank you for sharing here! Love your template in the comments as well. Finkle v Einhorn is my favorite DD to come out of this whole saga - and helps contextualize and visualize how important EVERY share is to DRS.
Thanks :) , lol ya with it being so long multiple readings makes sense, i could only ever post it to r/ddintogme so it was wasn’t seen by many, tho some og Apes were in the comments of it so i know some have seen it lol.
