Let’s be real, China’s goal isn’t to help the Palestinians. Their goal is to gain power and influence. If they can make the US or EU weaker they score points.
It’s the same stupid zero sum game that the likes of Russia and Iran are playing. I don’t think it’s working for any of these nations and it won’t work for China either.
China commenting does more harm than good for Palestines cause. Be better if they didn’t say anything.
Same as Russia stirring the pot and inviting Hamas leaders to meet with them, makes it far easier for western countries to say “Look these clearly are bad guys they hang out together” compared to say when Ireland talks with them.
