No billionaires are self-made. Somewhere along the way there is always exploitation of others.

What a weird combo of stats to pair in a headline. I don’t think they meant it but it creates this weird kind of false equivalence.

I don’t really care if billionaires are men or women. Their meat will taste the same either way once we cook them.

No they’re not, no billionaire is self made. They got they because they fucked people.

You don’t make that much money unless you’ve fucked over a lot of people. That’s just not how capitalism works.

No billionaires are self made, it’s a key thing to maintain awareness on. Each billionaire has started with an enormous starting advantage in some form. Either family connections or starting wealth. It’s not a straw man, it’s real, and the issue isn’t gender at all. It’s a distractive red herring from the fact billionaires shouldn’t exist in the first place. Going down the rabbit hole of how men have a predilection for sociopathy, enabling them to be complete fuckwads with no care for humanity and only fucking others over is the semantic. Look at Bezos’ ex-wife and how she’s giving most of the money away, because the ethics may exist for women in general making the notion “being a billionaire” precluded from the majority of females.

Wealth is just another dick measuring contest, for some men. I think it makes sense why women might not be as interested in something like that. That doesn’t mean that women don’t care about money or being successful in business, only that many women might measure success differently.

Not everyone cares that much about becoming a billionaire. Or, maybe many women are just more interested in marrying a billionaire than acquiring the wealth themselves.
